In the last few months I have created content, bought my domain, built a new website, worked on my strategy and just this afternoon I realized that you have no idea who's the person behind creativekommunikation!
Hello, I'm Nina...
Born and raised in beautiful Switzerland, the German speaking part.
I live in Vancouver since 2016.
I fell in love with Vancouver in 2012 during a road trip that took my friend and me from Toronto to Vancouver.
I have a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Zurich.
My dream was to become a radio host and after a few internships I realized that it's probably not for me. But I still love journalism and my passion for writing has been with me since childhood.
In my free time, I read, listen to podcast, meet friends and spend time with our 16 months old puppy.

So here we go, let's spill some tea..
Favorite podcasts:
German-speaking: Baby got Business, Business Punk - How to Hack, Innovator Sessions, Generation Girlpower und Okay, America?
English-speaking: Female Startup Club, The Daily, Happier with Gretchen Rubin, Side Hustle School
Just started listening to: Marketing News Canada, Financial Feminist
Favorite books:
Impossible!! But I absolutely adore the books written by Lori Nelson Spielman and I have most books written by Cecelia Ahern. Kiterunners is also a favorite and one of the books that made me cry a lot.
Source of Inspiration:
German-speaking: Tijen Onaran, founder of Global Digital Women and Anni aka Himbeersahnetorte are huge inspirations.
English-speaking: Sheryl Sandberg, Sophia Amoruso, Tori Dunlap of herfirst100k, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Michelle Obama.
And all my beautiful friends.❤️
All-time favorite TV show: Tough one!! Let's say Friends, Sex and the City, Schitt's Creek, Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl and Homeland.
Guilty pleasure at the moment:
Watching The Circle on Netflix
Favorite food:
Pizza and pasta never disappoint. No day passes without chocolate (hello, I'm Swiss). Sushi is my Vancouver love. And Thai Curry is one of my favorite dishes to cook.
Favorite music:
I had tears in my eyes when I saw Norah Jones live, she is absolutely wonderful. I love Elton John, Coldplay, Bastille and Ed Sheeran.
What creativekommunikation stands for
Female Empowerment
This topic is very close to my heart and influences every part of my life. On this page, I will connect empowerment with branding and business. It is a topic when I interview people for the portrait series on personal branding, it is part of my book reviews and will be an aspect of my business talks.
Personal Branding
Last year, I realized that I have to improve my personal brand, online and offline and since then I have been intensively studying the topic. Here on the blog I take you with me and share my experiences and learnings.
Business Advices
This part of the website will deal with topics that are relevant to me at the moment. The Imposter Syndrome, efficient goal setting, optimisation of work processes, women in leadership, innovation and new trends in the world of work.
Books, books, books:
Books are a big part of my life and that's why they are also part of creativekommunkation. My book reviews cover fictional and non-fictional stories and are a reflection of what I read on a daily base.
